Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of safety practices and procedures related to material handling and associated equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions, labels, and product specifications.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and occasional forklifts, to move, stack, and transport materials, products, and supplies within the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety guidelines for the handling and storage of materials.
• Receive, verify, and store incoming materials and supplies in designated locations, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient space utilization.
• Prepare and package products and materials for shipping, including labeling, wrapping, and palletizing according to specified requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas, ensuring a safe and clutter-free environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines, assisting in other duties as assigned.
