About The Position

Material Handler Night ShiftThe hours for this position are Monday - Thursday; 3:00pm - 1:00am. This position would qualify for a 10% shift differential in addition to the base pay. The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and safe movement of materials throughout all phases of the manufacturing process. This role supports production operations by loading, unloading, transporting, and storing materials in a timely manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring uninterrupted workflow. The Material Handler organizes and maintains warehouse and production areas, supplies components to production lines, and prepares all required documentation and inventory records to support smooth, reliable operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of warehouse experience and prior operation of powered material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) required.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, inventory documents, and safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • PA state registered driver's license is a plus
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads materials from trucks, pallets, and storage locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment, ensuring skid counts and quantities are accurate.
  • Transports raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to designated areas safely and efficiently.
  • Performs weight verifications and disposes of manufacturing by-products as required.
  • Receives incoming production materials and packaging, inspecting for visual defects, damage, or quantity discrepancies. Enters received materials into the computer inventory system accurately and promptly.
  • Performs regular cycle counts and assists with inventory reconciliation to support accurate stock levels.
  • Maintains organized, clearly labeled storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Issues materials to production areas and processes returns while accurately recording material usage and movements within the facility.
  • Coordinates with production, warehouse, and quality control teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
  • Ensure components and supplies are staged properly to maintain continuous workflow on production lines.
  • Assists with pulling, staging, and preparing outgoing shipments for customers and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and proper handling of outbound materials.
  • Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Employee Handbook and Local Work Rules. In addition, adhere to the proper Code of Conduct while on company property.
