About The Position

The Material Handler at Schneider Electric is responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of materials to production and assembly areas. This role involves kitting materials, picking parts from storage, inspecting for damages, and maintaining inventory levels to support production efficiency. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in adhering to safety and quality standards while contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unaided.
• Experience operating hand carts, forklifts, and scissors lifts.
• Licensed to operate tow motors and reach trucks.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience in customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience serving on a Joint Health & Safety Committee.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous supply of materials to production or assembly areas.
• Kit materials on the production line to keep operations moving smoothly.
• Pick parts from Kanban or storage areas and place them into storage carts.
• Maintain appropriate quantities of parts to support production and assembly requirements.
• Inspect parts for damages or defects and notify supervisors of any discrepancies.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory counts.
