About The Position

The Material Handler position at Novanta, Inc. involves performing routine and non-routine tasks related to the shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that products are packaged correctly and that shipping supplies are managed efficiently, contributing to the overall productivity of the team.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math ability.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Package product for shipment as required.
• Monitor and manage shipping supplies; prepare purchase requisitions to replenish supplies as needed.
• Perform data entry on computer.
• Monitor bin inventory levels in shipping areas and replenish as necessary.
• Operate from established procedures and maintain an ongoing updated Log Book for BOMs and drawings.
• Engage with other departments and/or carriers concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, or approval.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Contribute to team effort.
