About The Position

The position involves performing routine duties to move and store materials and parts within the ITT manufacturing facility. The role is essential for maintaining an orderly environment and supporting various departments by ensuring the efficient flow of materials. The individual will operate motorized and hand equipment, assist in shipping and receiving functions, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of MRP (SAP preferred) and material transaction usage.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and supplies to various departments as designated.
• Assist shipping room personnel in simple shipping and receiving functions, such as transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks.
• Maintain a neat and orderly plant, including the shipping and receiving area.
• Operate motorized and hand equipment for nonproduction jobs, such as moving machines and scrap.
• Perform daily inspections of lift trucks.
• Conduct SAP transactions for material movement.
• Understand material flow through the shop.
• Support the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost methods of the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
