In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of materials to support production activities including but not limited to filling and packaging components to filling room windows and packaging lines, as well as, the removal of finished goods and W-I-P to support the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to complete required documentation such as production batch records
  • Ability to communicate orally effectively
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and/or decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems in accordance with approved procedures
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be on their feet 100% of the time
  • The employee is required to lift 50 lbs. continually throughout the workday
  • This job involves frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Movement of pallets in excess of 100 lbs. by manual or electric pallet jack

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of prior material handling experience utilizing hand truck, pallet jack and reach lift

Responsibilities

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Verifies production orders to the production schedule and delivers components to appropriate area.
  • Operates manual and electric pallet jacks, reach forklift, pallet wrapper and pallet inverter.
  • Maintains Kanban stock and operations supply cabinets.
  • Orders and returns production material per approved procedures.
  • Adheres to SOPs for the emergency requisitioning of materials according to Batch Production Record.
  • Maintains operational readiness of power jacks i.e. checks battery fluid level, charges, etc.
  • Reports maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in physical inventories when required.
  • Locates work-in-process material and stages in the warehouse.
  • Ensures that all skids are shrink-wrapped and properly palletized.
  • Completes and maintains logbooks and batch record paperwork.
  • Supplies empty pallets and removes broken or oversized pallets.
  • Removes all skids of product from windows and packaging lines and removes the pallet to the designated area.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of staging areas.
  • Works overtime as required to support business needs.
  • The incumbent may perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.
