About The Position

The Toro Company is seeking a dedicated individual to operate power equipment and manage inventory within the facility. This role involves using various types of lift trucks and cranes to handle parts and materials, ensuring safe operation and adherence to safety protocols. The position requires a strong understanding of inventory systems and the ability to perform various inventory functions, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the workplace.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools, and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and stack pallets up to 10 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment such as lift trucks, standup lift trucks, and overhead steel cranes.
• Receive, count, move, ship, and locate parts and materials within the facility.
• Check equipment conditions including brakes, wheels, steering, and oil leaks to ensure safe operation.
• Complete necessary paperwork and operate scales and computers for inventory recordkeeping.
• Perform inventory functions including receiving, ordering material, internal moves, and shipping.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality workmanship in the work area.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices in and around the work area.
