The Material Handler at Pebble plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our production pipeline. This position is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production efficiency, and facilitating the seamless distribution of materials from the warehouse. You will be responsible for the management of high-value materials and supplies, contributing directly to the timely achievement of our production targets. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a robust understanding of inventory and material handling systems. As a Senior Material Handler, you will work closely with the manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize our materials handling processes, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and uphold the company's commitment to quality and reliability in our products.

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely distribution of materials and products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with the production team to forecast material needs and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all material handling activities.
  • Assist in resolving any inventory discrepancies in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Train and mentor new material handlers, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience as a material handler or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable of cycle counts and physical inventory practices.
  • Experience with receiving, pick, pack, and putaway.
  • Experience in using warehouse management software and databases, i.e. SAP, NetSuite, and Oracle.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Recent forklift certification is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Familiarity with safety and health regulations related to warehousing and material handling.
  • Ability to complete form electronic documents, such as bill of lading and freight manifests.
