About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Material Handler, Supply & Logistics - Shipping & Receiving for a position on Kauai, HI. Under general supervision, the individual will support any day supply function with the Supply and Logistic Department to include warehousing, shipping and receiving, storage, accountability and issue. Responsibilities Perform movement coordination, receipt, acceptance/rejection, packing and crating. Assist in packaging and preparing documentation of materials and property for shipment Stores property and material for temporary storage Assist with loading and uploading carriers and transporting materials and supplies Must be capable of operating material handling equipment and forklift. Assist with inspecting all incoming freight and cargo. Provide exceptional customer service. Performs all tasks in accordance with verbal and written instructions to the established standards. In addition to the above, perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor and/or Department Manager. Additional Responsibilities Lifting, pushing/pulling: over 50 lbs. Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, cramped, sitting and work requiring repeated stooping. Customer contact, Confined Work Area, Office Laboratory, Field Assignment, and Inclement Weather (heat exposure & sun glare). Expected to adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

High School or equivalent.
One Year of Logistic Supply skillset
Preferably one year of transportation management in shipping and receiving.
Experience in Microsoft Office and database entry.
Knowledge of basic warehouse layout and storage plan
Basic knowledge with the transportation management of shipping and receiving.
Able to collaborate with other warehouse staff, as well as with customer service representatives and logistics technicians.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
