About The Position
The Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) position at AG Growth International Inc. is a vital role within the Boone, IA warehouse, which serves as a key distribution center for the company. AGI is a global leader in food-based infrastructure, providing equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities. The Boone branch is integral to the final assembly, shipping, and delivery of products across the United States and Canada, representing various AGI brands such as Westfield, Batco, and Hutch. The Material Handler will assist in the preparation and shipment of agricultural products, manage warehouse inventory, and ensure that all operations are conducted efficiently and safely. In this role, the Material Handler will utilize written pick-lists to prepare and package shipments, which includes pulling inventory from warehouse shelving and outdoor stock lots. They will also be responsible for preparing shipping documents, creating shipping labels, and managing shipment quotations. The position requires receiving shipments from vendors, documenting incoming products, and collaborating closely with the Inventory Support Associate to process these shipments. This includes boxing, wrapping, and stocking parts onto shelving and racking, as well as assisting with inventory audits and cycle counts. The Material Handler will also be tasked with refurbishing damaged or aged products, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with ordering and restocking packaging materials. Additionally, they may support the Assembly Department when their primary duties are completed. This role is essential for ensuring that AGI continues to meet the unique needs of its customers while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in the warehouse.
