Material Handlers/Forklift Operators are responsible for operating various material handling equipment in the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and miscellaneous items. The position involves exercising good safety practices to prevent accidents and reporting unsafe conditions to the Production Coordinator. The role includes receiving, transporting, and storing materials following established methods and procedures for stock location, rotation, and identification. This task will involve unloading trailers and using the computer system. Additionally, the operator will stock production with components, check for correct identity, quantity, and appearance of materials, and prepare complete and accurate records as required. Miscellaneous duties may be assigned by the supervisor, including helping line workers.
