About The Position

The Material Handler position at FedEx Express involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment for moving packages and heavyweight freight. This part-time role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one's head if required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions if required.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required.
• Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages and documents.
• Assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as a liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
