About The Position
The Material Handler prepares customer orders for shipping
Responsibilities
- Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders
- Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed
- Follows packing and preservation policies and procedures
- Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain quality standards
- Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and procedures and requirements
- Properly stencils shipping information as required
- Provides maintenance and keeps records of Maintenance on all equipment assigned
- Maintains clean work area
- Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures
- Participates in TQM and SPC meetings
- Operated forklift and other mobile equipment as required.
