About The Position

Maintains production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording the location of inventory. Maintain production cells material 2-bins. Works under general supervision and within the guidelines of Company’s ISO 9000 Enterprise Management System. Receives, unpacks and compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of landing, invoices, purchase orders or other records. Visually examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments and personnel as needed. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock. Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers. Nails covers on wooden crates, binds containers with metal tape and/or plastic pallet wrap as needed. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet special shipping instructions and Sales Order notes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • OSHA-29-CFR-1910.178 Powered Industrial Truck- Forklift Training.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers or other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual should have a sound understanding of how to operate in a variety of software programs, CRM’s and ERP’s. (Microsoft, Salesforce.com, Oracle etc.)
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
