About The Position

The Material Handler Operator II at CEVA Logistics is responsible for executing essential operational processes within a warehouse environment. This role focuses on equipment operation, customer service, and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. The operator will handle various manual labor functions, coordinate the receipt and distribution of materials, and may serve as a lead operator for smaller teams. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a dynamic logistics setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of warehousing or related logistics experience, or successful completion of a rotation program.
  • Forklift Certification typically required within 3 to 6 months of hire; valid state issued driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand truck and pallet jack.
  • Basic proficiency in Internet and job-specific software applications.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists and forms.

  • Previous experience in a lead operator role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Execute various manual labor functions such as picking inventory, counting cargo, and staging/loading goods.
  • Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products.
  • Manage sorting and placement of materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Potential opportunity to serve as a lead operator and assist with training new hires.
  • Operate a forklift when required and is fully trained.
  • Complete or verify appropriate forms and documents to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify potential operational or service concerns and assist with resolving them.
  • Monitor warehouse maintenance tasks, including cleaning and proper storage of equipment.
