The Material Handler Level 1 position at Oxco, Inc. involves efficiently managing the handling, packaging, and storage of finished goods produced on the production lines. This role is essential for maintaining production efficiency and ensuring that materials are properly organized and stored. The position operates on a second shift schedule from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, in a positive work culture that values teamwork and dependability.

  • Wrap, bundle, label, palletize, package, transport, and store finished goods produced on the production lines.
  • Keep production lines cleared of finished items to promote machine efficiency.
  • Assign lot numbers and record item numbers, item quantities, units of measure (UOM), and locations.
  • Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS), radio frequency (RF) scanners, and barcodes to process customer orders and manage inventory.
  • Stage raw materials from the warehouse to the production line.
  • Consolidate and store raw and finished goods in their proper locations.
  • Perform quality inspections of incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Conduct cycle counts on raw and/or finished inventory and participate in scheduled physical inventories.
  • Use a shrink wrap machine to prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Transport completed production into warehouse or staging areas for shipment to customers.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and working areas.
  • Assist in the training of new employees as directed by the leadership team.
  • Identify and communicate any safety concerns and report property damage.
  • Perform and document daily forklift (PIT) and equipment inspections.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment preferred.
  • Forklift clamp and carpet pole experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain forklift or PIT certification as designated by OXCO.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and communication.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other personnel.
