About The Position

The Material Handler Lead at McKesson is responsible for overseeing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products and materials within a warehouse environment. Requirements

• Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.
• 2-3 years' experience with direct or indirect exposure in mentoring, managing, leading, and/or developing staff.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions.
• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing products and materials.
• Use power equipment such as forklifts and hand tools in a warehouse environment.
• Examine, stock, and count materials in inventory.
• Administer and operate the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies.
• Account for all materials and supplies in the facilities and audit goods received into the warehouse.
• Oversee storage and preservation of materials and related reporting according to established procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods.
• Ensure effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Perform advanced tasks and complete difficult assignments.
• Mentor less-experienced peers and assist the supervisor.
• Coordinate daily activities of a small team.
