About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler/Kitter (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift. The primary function of the Material Handler/Kitter is to sort, distribute, supply and package materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Avery Creek, NC facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
• Ability to climb ladders
• Proven history of safe work habits
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of forklift experience within the last 3 years
• Previous experience as Material Handler
• Previous experience with Kanban

Responsibilities

• Ownership of storage racks including daily review of Racks, 5S+, Rack Labels, etc.
• Load and unload steel trucks and/or copper truck as required
• Move material throughout the Fabrication as needed including keeping brakes staged with unbent parts, delivering bent parts to the paint line, and delivering completed fabricated components as required to rack locations.
• Keep pallet bins full of pallets.
• Assist in breaking out steel from Amada skeletons when necessary
• Weigh and empty scrap bins and record weight in spreadsheet.
