About The Position
This position involves the use of powered industrial equipment to unload and move products safely to their desired locations. The role requires the receipt of material into the ERP system and a working knowledge of SAP or a willingness to learn. The individual will be responsible for inspecting parts for quantities per SOR specifications, checking for obvious damage, color consistency, alignment, and compliance with quality or workmanship standards. Documentation of necessary information is also a key responsibility. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and performing preventive maintenance on equipment is essential. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Identifying nonconformities and following nonconforming product procedures is crucial, as is implementing process improvements. The role supports the Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and National Office Furniture, follows the Quality system, and may involve job rotation as directed. Additionally, support for the Environmental Management System (EMS) is expected.
