As a Material Handler III at Progress Rail Services Corp., you will play a crucial role in managing and distributing incoming materials essential for the manufacturing process. This position is located in Muncie, Indiana, and is part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, and unloading materials and parts, as well as storing them in inventory. You will also be tasked with transporting materials, parts, and equipment associated with the assembly of locomotives to various locations within the facility, including assembly areas, machines, and loading docks. In this role, you will operate industrial forklifts to perform material handling assignments, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting and completing reports related to the safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment. This position requires a proactive approach to managing inventory and ensuring that all materials are readily available for the manufacturing process.
