About The Position

Are you a skilled Powered Equipment Operator looking to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a MATERIAL HANDLER III (Reach Truck Operator) at our Olive Branch, MS distribution center! In this role, you will safely and efficiently handle materials throughout the warehouse - stocking incoming items, performing replenishments, and picking orders using powered equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. You'll play a key part in maintaining productivity and ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 6 months of related experience or with a distribution center environment.
  • Requires 6 months -1 year previous forklift operator experience (Reach Truck Required)
  • Previous receiving/ put away/ replenishment material handling experience
  • Experience with RF equipment to move product
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, push and pull for shift for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Follow directions and see the task through safely.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
  • Pass a Non-DOT Physical Exam
  • Required to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability follow all warehouse PPE requirements.
  • Ability to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting and standing positions for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for moving products within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach lifts etc.
  • Responsible to stock incoming items, to replenish flow racks, pick orders with use of RF equipment
  • Unload trucks and put away incoming freight following established procedures.
  • Replenish orders as necessary to support operation.
  • Break down incoming products according to packing lists and verify accuracy.
  • Maintain warehouse productivity, quality and attendance standards
  • Maintain compliance with all Emerson safety rules, policies, and procedures on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
