About The Position

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Material Handler II, supporting teams by managing inventory and providing parts. Duties and Responsibilities Kit work orders for Manufacturing according to priority set by Supervisor or Operations Manager to meet product shipment dates. Report part shortages and low stock levels to ensure timely ordering and replenishment. Perform routine cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory management. Fulfill internal purchase requests as needed to keep production and testing on schedule. Receive incoming deliveries against purchase orders and verify their accuracy. Assist with packing, labeling, and scheduling outgoing shipments according to SOP and work instructions. Bring Practical Process Improvement (PPI) thinking to assignments to continuously drive improvement. Adhere to work safety, fire safety, hygiene, and other regulatory standards. Practice good housekeeping, keeping inventory neat, clean, and orderly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an inventory control environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 20-40 pounds frequently.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • General warehouse experience.
  • Understanding and experience with applying Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

  • Purchasing experience.
  • Forklift certification or experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
