Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Must be effectively cross trained in multiple operations.
  • Ability to use advanced troubleshooting within the materials environment.
  • Ability to train other employees in established processes.
  • Problem solving skills and interfacing with other departments.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
  • Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
  • Develop a good knowledge of the company and may be assigned to projects for career development.
  • Learn the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.
  • Develop the business knowledge required for the full job.
  • May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
  • Follow defined procedures and practices.
  • Maintain contacts typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.
  • Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
  • Perform forklift daily inspections.
  • Accept responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
  • Participate in team meetings and exchange job related information.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, attendance, and quality.
  • Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
  • Practice safe working habits, following safety guidelines to operation and support of company initiatives.
  • Know the basic functions of the ERP system.
  • May assist in training of new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
  • Actively understand and participate with the Drive to Zero program.
  • Use judgment in resolving issues or recommending solutions.
  • May participate in project teams or lead portions of projects.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the basic principles, practices and processes in the applicable discipline and a working knowledge of related fields.
  • Provide resolutions from basic to moderately complex problems.
  • Exercise judgment within procedures and practices in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions.
  • Maintain contacts typically with the supervisor and other members of the team or immediate organization but may be outside of this to complete the assignment.
  • May represent the team on projects and interface with business partners.
  • Understand that impacts of errors normally have implications requiring additional resources.
  • Contribute to improving processes, lead times, through-put, and cost.
