Material Handler II Material Handler II plays an essential role in the efficient operations of the Distribution Center. This position is responsible for performing a variety of material handling functions including operating powered industrial equipment, handling inbound and outbound products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
- Must be certified or able to become certified to operate forklifts and reach trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer or RF scanner skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate distribution center machinery including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and sweepers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform outbound picking, packing, and staging of orders for shipment.
- Perform inbound receiving and stocking of materials into appropriate warehouse locations.
- Assist with cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Perform janitorial and housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility.
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily performance goals and productivity targets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
