About The Position

The Material Handler II position at ECHO Incorporated is responsible for maintaining the automated material handling system within the injection molding operation. This role requires collaboration with a team to ensure efficient daily operations, focusing on material handling, cleanliness, and organization in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Material Handler in an injection molding operation.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs. repetitively on a daily basis.
• Clear verbal communication in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ECHO's automated material handling system, including dryer bins, blenders, vacuum pumps, and machine loaders.
• Ensure correct material is conveyed to each machine daily through proper setup and programming.
• Clean blender, dryer, and machine loader filters based on designated PM schedules.
• Report system component wear and malfunctions to supervision and maintenance team immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the material handling and conveying system daily.
• Hand-mix sample batch resin and colorants, along with low-volume blends as needed.
• Use scales and correct math calculations for proper formulation blending.
• Review Bill of Materials on Manufacturing Orders at every mold change to ensure correct resin selection.
• Maintain, organize, and communicate all raw plastic resin inventory levels daily.
• Separate and process all scrap parts and runners to prevent cross-contamination.
• Process scrap parts and runners through designated grinding equipment to ensure zero cross-contamination of resins.
• Remove scrap bins from molding machines and deliver empty bins to maintain a clean production area.
• Assist Process Techs with various mold change tasks.
