The Material Handler II plays a crucial role in the warehouse by ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of customer products and materials. This position requires manual labor, the use of standard power equipment, and occasionally computer equipment to fulfill warehouse services. The Material Handler II is responsible for pulling orders, loading and unloading products, operating and maintaining equipment, and completing various reports. The role demands adherence to safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. In the order-pulling process, the Material Handler II must accurately locate and pick products using both manual methods and motorized equipment such as forklifts. This includes counting, weighing, and recording the number of units handled on a daily production sheet. The position also involves specialized order processing, which may include stenciling, slip-sheeting, stretch wrapping, labeling, and consolidating products as required. When loading and unloading, the Material Handler II must follow APLL Operating policies, complete necessary paperwork, and ensure that all products are handled safely and efficiently. The role also includes operating and maintaining equipment, which involves daily inspections and adjustments of tow-motor vehicles, reporting any defects to supervisors, and ensuring that trailers are prepared for loading. The Material Handler II is expected to assist in building and grounds maintenance to keep the facility clean and safe. Additionally, the position requires completing activity and statistical reports, assisting in physical inventories, and providing miscellaneous services as directed by supervisors or team leaders. The Material Handler II is expected to participate in safety and 5S requirements to promote operational efficiency and a safe working environment.
