Position Summary The Material Handler I is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials and inventory within a warehouse or distribution center. This may consist of specific tasks within the warehouse or distribution center, such as but not limited to picking, packing, shipping, conveyor operator, labeling, and other areas. This is a non-exempt role compensating $19.00/hr. - $24.00/hr.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, often requiring repetitive motions.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft 365 programs, specifically Word, Excel, Teams
  • Accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to assess situations and set priorities

Nice To Haves

  • One year of previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred
  • Previous experience operating material handling equipment
  • Utilizing basic working knowledge of SAP and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and handheld devices such as scanners

Responsibilities

  • Using handcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment to move materials around the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring efficient flow of goods.
  • Picking and packing orders, preparing shipments for delivery, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Labeling on products following specific guidelines from various countries.
  • Following safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
