About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler 1-2nd Shift at our El Paso, TX location! The hourly rate for this position is $16.76 per hour. The core hours are 7:00am - 3:45pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
What you’ll do:
Provide shipping and warehousing expertise to support in all areas of the Switchboard Team including, but not limited to, assembly, order picking, and shipping and receiving parts, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.
Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.
Perform quality checks.
Receive and process material kitting orders
Complete inventory transactions
Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment safely and competently.
Receive and process incoming raw materials and ensure the inventory process is followed correctly
Prepare finished products for final shipment including packaging, documentation, and loading, and ensure on-time delivery
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), order pickers, automatic pallet wrappers and pallet jack

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of forklift operation experience (sit-down/standup).
• A minimum of six months of work experience with an RF Scanner.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of warehouse experience in an industrial environment.
• Two years or more of forklift operation experience (sit-down/standup).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of AS400, VISTA, and MAPICS systems.
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous process improvements.
• Ability to lift. push, and pull up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to squat and reach above the head with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to physically operate a forklift with or without reasonable accommodation.
