Indirect Labor - Molding Support - Material Handler I

About The Position

This position supports the production team by ensuring materials and components are available and accurately supplied to meet job requirements. This role is responsible for inventory control, material tracking, and assisting with job changeovers and equipment upkeep to maintain a smooth production flow.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; relevant college coursework preferred
Valid identification and the ability to legally work in the United States
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer proficiency; experience with Epicor and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Forklift operation experience preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Must be able to safely work with chemicals
Capable of working flexible hours as needed

Responsibilities

Fulfill material/component orders for production jobs
Verify materials match job specifications
Issue raw materials into the ERP system
Maintain accurate and timely ERP entries
Complete all documentation in accordance with quality system procedures
Stay current on quality system updates impacting the role
Perform cycle counts to ensure part availability and inventory accuracy
Order necessary manufacturing supplies
Monitor job progress and performance using system reports
Conduct regular rounds (every 2 hours) to ensure dryers and hoppers are full and functioning
Clean equipment following job completion
Assist with job changeovers as needed
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
