About The Position

With continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for a Material Handler I. Position Summary: The person in this role will support the warehouse/stockroom and be responsible for inventory records including counting, storing, records comparison, and rotating stock in the warehouse or stockroom daily.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 2 years general knowledge of warehouse/stockroom environment.
  • Must have basic math skills, read pick lists, data printouts, bills of material and other documents.
  • Accuracy of data entry, accounts and record keeping is essential.
  • General knowledge of warehouse/stockroom procedures.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities.
  • Must be able to bend and lift 40 lbs.
  • Must have ability to work as a team member to achieve the company’s quality and production standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with production employees and managers.
  • Strong organization skills, self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal
  • Must be flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.
  • Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position .
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate a plus
  • Previous Warehouse Experience in a Military , Commercial or Medical environment .
  • Operate Manual and Electric Power Pallet Power tool knowledge (Rotating saw, hand saw, hammer, drills)
