Job Summary Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules | Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements also supporting the packing of base closures. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Written communication skills.
Ability to gather and document information.
Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
Mechanical knowledge.
Safety knowledge.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Responsibilities

Assists with manual duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
Supports with recording, counting, weighing, or measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
Assists with gathering, verifying, weighing and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method.
Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
