About The Position

As part of the BioServices team, the Rockville, MD site focuses on the receipts, inventory storage, withdrawal and shipment of biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials for multiple commercial and government clients. The Material Handler I supports operations by storing and shipping materials at temperatures ranging from ambient (room temperature) to -196 degrees C with potentially hazardous properties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Able to work independently and set priorities
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to work with methods to handle, process and store specimens using a computerized storage and retrieval system

Nice To Haves

• Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
• Experience with warehouse equipment

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming raw materials
• Facilitate movement of materials, including hazardous materials, across the site
• Maintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle counts
• Perform GMP/GDP production functions
