About The Position

This position is responsible for material handling duties associated with supplying the assembly line. The role involves conferring with supervisors to coordinate the flow of materials or products into kitting or CER via Kanban or Picking ticket. The employee will assist team members with material handling and receiving activities as directed by the supervisor or team leader, and communicate with appropriate personnel regarding potential shortages and future inventory projections. Accurate documentation for inventory control is essential, as well as reading production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine the type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority. The employee will pull and stage material for production use, perform cycle counts, and provide assistance for on-the-job coaching/training of new employees and cross-training current employees. Processing inventory transactions in a computer database relating to Work Order, Scrap, Testing, Cycle Counts, etc., is also part of the job. The employee must demonstrate efficient use of computer software, seek guidance and direction as necessary, and maintain a neat and orderly work area while consistently following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years inventory control or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Possess written and oral communication skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly.
  • Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
