About The Position

The Material Handler I position involves performing repetitive simple manual tasks that include lifting and moving products. The role requires assisting other material handlers, machine operators, and supervisors as needed while maintaining a clean work area. The Material Handler is responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by adhering to good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. The individual must be aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality, and is responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. Additionally, the Material Handler is expected to partner with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within the team and across functional areas, while also enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity and vision.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities
