The position involves unloading and unpacking incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies. The employee will compare invoices to purchase orders and packing slips to ensure correctness, bringing any discrepancies to the supervisor's attention. The role requires examining materials for damage, noting any damaged products, and determining whether damaged materials should be returned. Additionally, the employee will deliver materials to the proper location in the warehouse or packaging areas, palletize and stretch wrap outbound freight orders, assist with bulk inventories, and locate and transport raw materials into the Production Department. Maintaining the warehouse and keeping the dock area cleared is also part of the job, along with complying with safety and GMP requirements. The employee is expected to support a culture of safe production and operations by following all safety rules and procedures, participating in safety training, reporting safety concerns, and communicating safety information to new employees.
