About The Position

The position involves operating a forklift on the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with a pay rate of $20.00 hourly plus a $2.00 shift differential. The role requires advanced knowledge of reading and interpreting schedules, distinguishing materials that can be pulled from stock, and accurately pulling materials from storage trailers. The employee will take core materials to layup lines, direct core that requires cutting to the core saw, and ensure that the core strips required for 7/0 & 8/0 doors are included with the core materials brought to the lines. Responsibilities also include stocking leftover materials and components, maneuvering the lift truck safely in tight spaces, and recovering/returning materials to bins.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of SKU's and material cut requirements.
• Forklift operating skills and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High degree of concentration and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload, lift, move, place, and stack raw materials and doors.
• Navigate throughout the plant, including populated and small areas, while performing safety procedures.
• Read and interpret schedules and tickets.
• Use measuring tape to the 16th.
• Coordinate material flow to/from routers, core saw, and layup lines.
• Verify and ensure correct materials are used.
• Communicate constantly and clearly with upstream and downstream departments.
• Perform manual lifting, sliding, and flipping of materials or doors (max. 50 lbs.).
