About The Position
The Material Handler / Forklift Driver assists in the production of quality parts by safely transporting parts and materials throughout the production facility. This role also involves assisting in the proper disposal of waste products.
Requirements
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift experience and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to safely work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide whole numbers) and attention to details
- Able to use RF Scanner
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Skill in both verbal and written communication
Responsibilities
- Operates industrial forklifts equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, or similar location.
- Manually handles parts and supplies production lines at a fast pace.
- Participates in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks; delivers and returns items.
- Scan items for inventory.
- Must know and follow all safety rules.
- Other misc. duties deemed necessary by supervisor.
