The Material Handler / Forklift Driver at Nike is responsible for managing the logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments within a manufacturing warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. The position involves operating forklifts, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

  • Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment using UPS and FedEx systems.
  • Receive and compare identifying information of shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Set up shipments for large machinery and determine methods of shipment.
  • Pick up finished products from production and load trailers, completing shipping documentation and scheduling pickups.
  • Confirm orders in an integrated computer system to relieve inventory and start the invoice process.
  • Process and issue raw material to production for manufacturing finished goods.
  • Remove raw material scrap from the production floor and prepare material for shipment.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and perform inventory movements in SAP.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workspace.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of shipping and receiving experience within a manufacturing warehouse or equivalent environment.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Good basic reading and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and stand during the entire shift.
