About The Position

The Material Handler | Forklift Driver position at Archway involves the safe and efficient operation of power-operated equipment, including forklifts, to manage product movement within the warehouse. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of items while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This full-time position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, offering competitive pay and a range of benefits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient operation of all power operated equipment that requires certification.
  • Safe and efficient movement of product, including loading and unloading trucks.
  • Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift.
  • Label and prepare items for shipment.
  • Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement.
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation.
  • Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items.
  • Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures.
  • Update Warehouse Management System with transaction.
  • Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure.
  • Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories.
  • Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns.
  • Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions.
