The Material Handler position at Metalcraft of Mayville is responsible for managing and verifying records of outbound shipments and maintaining stock for all stations within the SCAG Assembly department. This role involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within the plant, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and assisting with general housekeeping tasks.

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using a forklift, hand truck, electric dolly, or other devices.
Occasionally operates industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Fills out a daily inspection before starting up the forklift.
Assists with routine or general housekeeping tasks as they relate to the plant's 6S plan.
Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 years of forklift experience
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills
Problem-solving skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Demonstrated detail orientation and self-motivation skills
Ability to multi-task
Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
