About The Position

The position involves monitoring and reviewing supplies such as stretch wrap, boxes, trays, colorant, and pallets. The individual will be responsible for checking all machines to ensure they have sufficient color and material. Additionally, the role requires inspecting forklifts (both LPG and Electric) before use, following a specific checklist or using a phone app. The employee will also need to remove full pallets and boxes from machines, stretch wrap, and label each pallet accordingly. The use of a pallet jack may be required in certain situations, and there may be instances where labels need to be affixed to appropriate cases. Maintaining and removing all boxes, cardboard, pallets, conveyors, and water tanks as needed is also part of the job. The individual must ensure that electric forklifts are equalized and will need to bring all scrap boxes of plastic material to the grinding area. Assisting in preplanning jobs and performing color or material changes as necessary is expected. The employee will move all production to the hold area or PRSTG area using an RF scan gun and perform other duties as required. Maintaining full water conveyors is also part of the responsibilities. The role requires performing necessary training of personnel and effective communication to build teams. Computer literacy is essential for maintaining training records as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing
  • Experience operating a sit-down /stand-up forklift and/or use of a pallet jack
  • Ability to understand process flow in production environment
  • Must be able to lift/carry 55 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with mixing resins and material recycling preferred but not required
  • Experience operating a stretch wrap machine preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor supplies (stretch wrap, boxes, trays, colorant, pallets, etc.)
  • Check all machines for sufficient color and material
  • Inspect the forklift (LPG or Electric) before use, using the forklift checklist or Phone APP
  • Remove full pallets and boxes from the machines, stretch wrap and label each pallet
  • Use pallet jack when required
  • Affix labels to the appropriate cases when necessary
  • Maintain and remove all boxes, cardboard, pallets, conveyors, and water tanks as needed
  • Ensure electric forklifts are equalized using the electric lift equalizing form
  • Bring all scrap boxes of plastic material to the grinding area
  • Assist in preplanning jobs, perform color changes or material changes as needed
  • Move all production to hold area or PRSTG area using RF scan gun
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Maintain full water conveyors
  • Perform required training of personnel
  • Communicate well and drive to build teams
  • Maintain training records as needed
