To support the growth and development of our new hires, this position is eligible for a 90 Day Evaluation that includes a pay increase if key performance indicators are met. Scope: A Material Handler/Driver operates a truck to deliver and pick up cargo within a local area serving our processes within our four manufacturing buildings. 2nd shift schedule, 3PM -11:30 PM, Mon - Fri. Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Able to use automatic routing or location software
  • Knowledge of local area and able to read and use maps
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Good DMV driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Required Experience: No experience required. We can train candidates with the essential knowledge and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Experience: Two years' experience as a delivery driver in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Observes speed limits and obeys all road signs while making on-time delivery schedules
  • Records travel and vehicle maintenance information in logs
  • Operates equipment to unload or load vehicle
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. cleaning interior and exterior, taking vehicle for state inspections, filling tires with air, etc)
  • Verify cargo is secure and loaded properly
  • Inspect brakes, windshield wipers, and lights to confirm proper working condition
  • Inspect fire extinguisher, flares and other safety equipment on truck are in working order
  • Interacts with customers and vendors to obtain signatures and gives receipt of goods
  • Assist shipping department with packaging
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately
