About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This position offers a competitive hourly pay of $18.78, with overtime pay at $28.17 per hour. An additional $0.50 per hour is provided when assigned to the second shift. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Ryder emphasizes a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment, handling products such as frozen and perishable foods. The role involves various warehouse fulfillment specialist tasks that support distribution across the US.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
