SUMMARY: The Material Handler/Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of incoming and outgoing materials throughout GCM Facility, as well as safely and professionally picking up and dropping off local orders using a company vehicle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Clean Driving record- DMV- Class D Driver's License
  • Able to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience working in a shipping or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operator forklift, drive utility cart and use pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

  • Handles, moves, and transacts materials during receiving, put-away, floor replenishment, and shipment in a prompt, efficient, accurate manner
  • Issues and posts daily cycle counts
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve issues that disrupt material movement
  • Support production, purchasing and quality assurance, material movement requirements
  • Operates material handling (forklift and pallet jack) equipment safely per policy and procedures; conducts safety inspections of all forklifts prior to use
  • Reads production schedules, work orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
  • Safely operate and drive vehicles within the Class D category, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Drive to customer locations to deliver orders, deliver and pick up parts from suppliers
  • Interact professionally with customers and address any inquiries or concerns
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Keep up to date with changes in driving laws and regulations
  • Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers
  • Performs other related duties assigned.
