Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
  • Language and Communication Skills: The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in a one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

  • Uses ERP system to make inventory transfers.
  • Supplies and stocks parts to production lines in order to keep production workers operating efficiently.
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories from generated counts, as supplied by logistics manager.
  • Creates new Kanbans under the guidance of the Value Stream Leader.
  • Uses ladders, forklift, hand-truck, and pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist product to and from warehouse racking.
  • Palletize Dampers with the assistance of others in order to pass off to Warehouse to prepare for outside storage.
  • Notifies the Value Stream Leader with potential shortages and other problems that could impact product availability.
  • Assist in training of employees to the Kanban system.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities and workspace organization improvement.
  • Any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
