About The Position

The Material Handler – Cushion Stager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth production flow within the upholstery process. This position is responsible for preparing cushion cores and accurately matching them to the correct cushion covers based on the daily production schedule. The Cushion Stager ensures each job is completed fully, correctly, and on time, with special attention to eliminating late orders.

This is a fast-paced, physically active role that requires strong organization, urgency, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Ability to read production schedules and work orders
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior manufacturing or material handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Stage cushion cores according to the daily production schedule
• Accurately match cushion cores to corresponding cushion covers by style number, size, and specifications
• Verify quantities and completeness before releasing to the next production step
• Complete each scheduled job fully before moving to the next assignment unless directed otherwise
• Prioritize and ensure all late orders are identified and completed
• Maintain proper flow of materials to prevent production delays
• Communicate shortages, mismatches, or quality concerns immediately to leadership
• Maintain clean and organized staging areas
• Follow all safety procedures while lifting and moving materials
