About The Position

The Material Handler position is a full-time role on the 3rd shift, from 11 PM to 7 AM, located in Ossian, IN. The role involves various responsibilities related to the loading and unloading of trucks, managing shipping schedules, and maintaining customer releases. The position also requires interfacing with customers to resolve any shipping and planning issues, ensuring that the work area is organized and safe, and training others as needed.

Requirements

• High School or better
• Fork Lift Driver certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using forklift
• Generate kanbans for customer demands
• Update system requirements to accurately generate shippers and ASN's
• Interface with customers to resolve shipping and planning issues
• Maintain customer releases which include automatic releases
• Review customer release in Future 3
• Prepare and check the daily shipping schedule
• Back-up duties for Materials Department
• Schedule trucks both daily and weekly as needed
• Help load and unload trucks as necessary
• Help prepare order entry items for shipment
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
• Train others as authorized
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
