Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, pull 100 lbs, and push 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk short distances, stand for long periods of time, crouch/squat/kneel/bend/rotate, sit for short periods of time, and climb stairs.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn and navigate the SAP warehouse management system.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training and receive certification.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, identify, store, and distribute a variety of raw materials, work-in-progress items, manufactured parts, and purchased assemblies.
  • Stage materials for fabrication, additional processing, assembly, or direct shipment for replacement parts orders.
  • Follow instructions from the supervisor and work from computer-generated pick lists, stock transfer sheets, back-order sheets, and stock requisitions.
  • Utilize powered lift trucks and various containers, pallet racks, and bins for the transfer, transport, and storage of materials.
  • Receive and store materials in designated yard areas or shelf/bin locations within the warehouse.
  • Pick material orders according to system-generated picking lists, shop orders, or sales orders.
  • Record quantities of received and issued items on stock record cards in general stores.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Adhere to all prescribed safety regulations.
  • Oversee the management of waste streams, ensuring proper segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
