About The Position

The Material Handler position at Eaton's Aerospace Group in Los Angeles involves managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of aerospace hydraulic components. This role is essential for ensuring efficient logistics operations and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. The Material Handler will work under the supervision of the Logistics & Materials Supervisor and is expected to operate independently while collaborating with team members to meet operational goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in receiving, shipping, warehouse, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
• Strong personal work ethic and ability to work in a complex environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift Certified
• DOT/IATA Certified
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a receiving/shipping clerk.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming freight and execute receipt transactions in the ERP system.
• Report discrepancies in shipments through Eaton's Cargo Claims process.
• Conduct cycle counts and construct kits for production.
• Pull spare parts and ensure materials are received into stock.
• Package and process shipments via the ERP system, generating bill of ladings for outbound shipments.
• Schedule LTL and direct air shipment pickups and create documentation for international shipments.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment statuses and discrepancies.
• Perform data entry for inbound shipments and record parts movement into the ERP system.
• Ensure products are delivered to the correct location within the organization.
• Assist personnel through the service counter and support Contracts personnel as needed.
