About The Position

The Material Handler position at Siemens involves operating material handling tools and equipment to support warehouse, quality, and production operations. The role is focused on ensuring timely material receipt and delivery, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols in a warehouse environment. This position is based in Buffalo Grove, IL, and operates on the 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
• At least 2 years' experience with picking, packing, and shipping/receiving tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Experience using RF scanners.
• 2+ years of forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operating material handling tools and equipment, including manual/powered sit-down and stand-up trucks.
• Providing timely material receipt and delivery support for warehouse, quality, and production.
• Moving materials safely using pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to prevent damage.
• Identifying and addressing basic inventory discrepancies and resolving shipping issues.
• Following material handling procedures, including Bill-of-Material and pick lists, to ensure accurate order picking and shipping.
• Conducting cycle counts, staging materials for machine operators, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
• Performing other tasks as directed by supervision, quality and production team leads, and senior assembly personnel.
